Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Elmira, NY | Schedule: Full-time, Day shift, on-site | Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, $15,000 Sign On Bonus eligible Overview A premier health organization in the Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking an experienced and dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist to join its supportive physical therapy team. This is a direct hire opportunity to provide top-tier rehabilitation care in a specialized outpatient clinic, working closely with a diverse group of patients and contributing meaningfully to their recovery and quality of life. What you'll do Conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs Administer therapeutic treatments, including exercises, manual therapy, modalities (such as ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation), and patient education Educate patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention to support long-term recovery and improved functional outcomes Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet rehabilitation goals Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies and industry standards Provide patient education to empower individuals in managing their rehabilitation and preventing future injuries Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines Required qualifications Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Physical Therapist license in the state at the time of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire Strong communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and team members Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving of patients during treatment sessions Physical Therapists on an F1 student visa with OPT work authorization are encouraged to apply and will be considered Preferred qualifications Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred Compensation and benefits $15,000 Sign On Bonus eligible position Competitive salary based on experience Relocation assistance Additional compensation for relevant certifications or qualifications Full-time schedule with no overnight shifts Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off and holidays Retirement plan with employer contribution Tuition assistance and continuing education support Employee wellness programs Why this role This is an opportunity to join a supportive, collaborative physical therapy team at a premier health organization, with a generous sign-on bonus, certification pay, relocation assistance, and a full-time schedule with no overnight shifts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
