Package Handler

As a Package Handler, you will be responsible for the precise sorting and processing of parcels and mail, verifying that labels are applied correctly and printed accurately. Your role is vital in upholding our high standards for quality, productivity, and operational accuracy by following established sorting protocols. Core Responsibilities: Organize all mail according to specific area requirements while following our internal quality guidelines. Help the team achieve consistent output by meeting established production quotas. Verify that each item has the correct indicia and that the zip code matches the destination address to ensure delivery accuracy. Keep your designated workspace tidy and organized. Be prepared to assist in different operational zones as the needs of the business evolve. Understand that these duties are subject to revision and may be supplemented by additional tasks as needed. Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent background is preferred. Required Skills: Follow verbal directions effectively. Demonstrate proficiency in sorting items both alphabetically and numerically. Apply basic mathematical skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction. Maintain a high pace of work under pressure for extended durations. Collaborate effectively as a member of the team to reach shared goals. Follow established routines and standardized instructions to ensure consistent daily operations. Communicate regularly with colleagues within your department. Physical Requirements: Lift, push, pull, and walk with loads up to 50 lbs., with assistance available for heavier items. Perform tasks that require frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, or reaching overhead throughout your shift. Operate a pallet jack to move mail shipments.
