Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver in Stony Brook, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.34 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeTue06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeWed06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeThur06:00 AM - 02:00 PM DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and other security-related incidents in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed. Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card or license is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
