Overview
Staff Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Lancaster, OH, United States. Travel assignment begins 09/28/2026 for 8 weeks, nights shift, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for obstetric patients using the nursing process.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and execute physician orders with accuracy and safety.
- Monitor fetal status and other patient vitals; respond promptly to changes and notify the physician as needed.
- Educate patients and families from admission through discharge; provide clear, compassionate explanations and support.
- Document the nursing process thoroughly and legibly; ensure equipment and supplies are ready and report any malfunctions.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants, maintaining a collaborative, patient-centered care team.

Requirements
- Current Ohio registered nurse license
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate
- CPR certification
- Education: Associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred; obstetric/L&D experience is desirable
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced obstetric setting; strong communication and critical thinking skills
