Technical Training Manager (ERP, Instructional Design & Curriculum Development)

The Technical Training Manager will lead the development, delivery, and management of technical training programs supporting enterprise technology modernization, ERP systems, business-process transformation, and enterprise software implementations.

The position requires extensive experience in IT training, curriculum development, instructional technology, instructional design, and training management , with the ability to develop effective learning solutions for audiences ranging from executive leadership to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical training and curriculum-development initiatives.

• Design training programs supporting IT and instructional technologies.

• Develop advanced curricula for enterprise applications and technology-modernization initiatives.

• Apply adult-learning principles and instructional-design methodologies.

• Use ADDIE, SAM, or comparable instructional-design frameworks.

• Develop training strategies supporting ERP and enterprise software implementations.

• Develop job aids, quick-reference guides, training videos, and multimedia learning materials.

• Manage training-program planning, development, delivery, and evaluation.

• Identify workforce training gaps and develop appropriate learning solutions.

• Support business-process transformation through targeted training initiatives.

• Coordinate training activities with technical and functional stakeholders.

• Lead enterprise training initiatives from planning through execution.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support large private-sector, public-sector, or government technology-modernization initiatives.

• Develop technical and end-user training documentation.

• Develop eLearning content and technology-enabled learning materials.

• Use Learning Management Systems to support training delivery and tracking.

• Work with Accounting functional teams to understand and clarify training requirements.

• Support training related to finance and accounting business processes.

• Use Microsoft Office tools for curriculum and training-material development.

• Use SharePoint for collaboration and document management.

• Communicate training strategies and progress to stakeholders and senior management.

• Support Florida financial, accounting, budgeting, procurement, and grants-management processes where applicable.

• Maintain ownership of assigned training initiatives through completion.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 7%2B years of training experience , including curriculum development for IT and instructional technology.

• Minimum 2%2B years of training-management experience .

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems .

• Knowledge of business-process transformation.

• Knowledge of enterprise software implementations.

• Strong knowledge of adult-learning principles.

• Knowledge of instructional-design methodologies, including:

  • ADDIE

  • SAM

  • Similar instructional-design frameworks

• Experience supporting large private-sector, public-sector, or government technology-modernization initiatives.

• Strong curriculum-development skills.

• Strong instructional-design capabilities.

• Technical-writing experience.

• Training-program management experience.

• Experience developing:

  • Job Aids

  • Quick Reference Guides

  • Training Videos

  • Multimedia Learning Materials

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as:

  • Comparable eLearning platforms

• Experience identifying training gaps and developing solutions that improve workforce readiness.

• Demonstrated experience leading training initiatives.

• Experience with Finance and Accounting practices.

• Knowledge of Florida PALM .

• Knowledge and/or experience with FLAIR Florida Accounting Information Resource .

• Knowledge of State of Florida financial, accounting, budgeting, procurement, or grants-management processes.

• Experience working with Accounting functional groups.

• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experience using SharePoint for collaboration and document management.

• Experience working with State government or similarly sized government organizations.

• Experience working under the direction of senior-level management.

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Instructional Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or a related field Required

• Equivalent professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Certifications:

• PMP Preferred

• Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) Preferred

• ATD Certification/Credential Preferred

• Prosci Change Management Certification Preferred

• Related professional training, project-management, or change-management certifications Preferred
