Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8.0 shift starting October 26th. Expect to care for 2 patients per hour with initial evaluations lasting for a full hour.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician directions. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate a patient's effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves, while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on discharge readiness within an established length of stay.
• Document care in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including goal writing and charge entry, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing evaluations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and utilize the organization's performance improvement methodologies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school is required.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 6 months of experience is highly desired.
