In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations, including inventory management, materials handling, and order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will help us maintain efficiency and uphold safety standards across all warehouse activities.A Warehouse Associate at our company plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operations of our distribution center. This individual is responsible for accurately reading order directions and selecting the appropriate products and quantities for order processing or stocking. The associate is also tasked with identifying products unfit for shipment due to damage, poor quality, or improper location. Additionally, they contribute to maintaining a clean, organized facility through diligent housekeeping efforts.Responsibilities:Read order directions directing the puller/stocker/receiver to specific locations, then selecting of the appropriate product and quantity for order processing or stockingUnderstand the distribution center layout and be able to pull the minimum material required to build a unitSelect the appropriate product and the appropriate quantity with less than 1% error rateIdentify product that is not fit for shipment because of obvious damage, poor quality, or improperly located productOperate equipment required for pulling/stocking/receiving such as forklifts, tuggers, power sweepers, and strapping machinesRead order plates on units and load trailers accurately while understanding the load weights and restrictions for each axle when loading trailers.Recognize units improperly secured units (i.e. not enough blocks for larger units, side blocks on all units, Metrie plastic on all orders)Assist in maintaining a clean, organized facility through diligent "Lean" housekeeping effortsOther duties assigned as neededQualifications:Ability to perform physical work1 or more years warehouse experience in a warehouse environment preferredForklift operating experience and other warehouse equipment requiredSolid work ethic, and a positive attitudeStrong communication skillsEnjoy working in a team environmentBasic computer skills an assetCome work with us! The base pay for this role starts at $25.00 per hour. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
