Senior Accountant

We manufacture a wide range of molded plastic products and complete product assembly to meet your specific design requirements. Job Overview: This position is primarily responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, cost and margin analyses, and audit support. The position is part of a small team of accountants and other finance personnel, collaborating to provide financial and accounting support to the business. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with monthly closing activities to ensure that financial statements and general ledgers are closed timely and accurately Prepare & review various month end journal entries & reconciliations in accordance with policies and timelines Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency Assist with preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting packages and various operational analytics Assist with fixed assets, standard costing, margin analysis, balance sheet & income statement analytics and forecasting Assist with performance of various SOX compliance procedures Support internal and external audits Assist with physical inventories Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to analyze financial data, recognize errors and implement corrections Superior written and oral communication skills Knowledge of PC spreadsheets, word processing and database applications (Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL and OneStream preferred) Overall comprehensive understanding of business processes, with manufacturing experience preferred Highly motivated, self-starter with good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, with 4+ years of related experience Strong background in an internal control environment including SOX compliance Experience with ERP application a plus Graduate Degree, CPA or CMA Preferred but not required Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee regularly is required to walk, climb or balance, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
