Job Description
Registered Nurse - PICU

Schedule

Shifts are rotating, requiring flexibility to work either days or nights throughout the contract. Day shifts are 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30). Expect a weekend requirement of 4 shifts for day shifts and 5 shifts for night shifts, considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. The facility is allowed to call off up to 3 times during the assignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in pediatric intensive care
• BLS and PALS certifications
• Current state nursing license
• Experience with CRRT & ECMO procedures, ventilators, and inotropic drips
• Willingness to float to NICU and Peds ED if required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
• Participate in procedures requiring advanced nursing skills
• Respond to emergencies and support resuscitation efforts

Compliance / Notes

Flu shot is required. Clinicians must be able to manage two intubated patients when necessary.
