Program Coordinator II

Overview The Program Coorinator II will coordinate, support, and advise students/programs within the Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC). Support and advise Utah State University Student Association (USUSA) Academic Senate, including but not limited to, each USUSA college senator including the school of Graduate Studies senator and the USUSA Student Advocate in fulfilling the objectives and goals as outlined in their individual position descriptions. Coordinate the day-to-day activities of these officers including monitoring program budget and expenses to ensure all USU policies are followed. Oversee the planning of their college weeks, other events, etc., making sure they are safe and adhere to applicable Utah State University (USU) policies. Supervise, manage, support and mentor the SILC Advisors over Statewide USUSA Student Government. Responsibilities

- Advise the USUSA Academic Senate Officers and the USUSA Student Advocate on the execution of their position descriptions and compliance with all policies and procedures set forth by USU.
- Hold weekly / bi weekly meetings with each officer, keeping current on new issues, policies, budget review and events.
- Advise USUSA Officers use of their individual operating budgets. Monitor revenue and expenses for USU financial policy compliance.
- Attend regular meetings held by USUA officer advisees to ensure continuous and current communication between advisor and those students advised.
- Establish mutual performance expectations between advisor and students, continually evaluate job performance and provide feedback as needed.
- Exhibit willingness to assist advisees in fulfilling their respective office goals by establishing an open, working relationship.
- Coordinate with college councils, Government Relations Council and their student leadership, and staff advisors.
- Become familiar with all campus auxiliary services, community groups and businesses that students may wish to utilize.
- Oversee all events these officer's plan. Exercise discretion and judgement on the safety and execution of the event. Contact Risk Management and police with any safety issues.
- Attend weekly Academic Senate meetings.
- Oversee the operation of the Statewide USUSA Advisors including; Monthly Statewide Advisors meetings, Trainings and retreats.
- Ensure a link between the Division of Student Success and Statewide Campuses administration. Ensuring regular communication with Statewide Campuses administration on matters involving Statewide Student Government and Student Success.
- Facilitate trainings, seminars, meetings and special projects as needed or assigned.
- Perform responsibilities for and serve on committees as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC) and the Director of Leadership within the SILC, as well as and the Vice President and the Associate Vice President for the Division of Student Success.

- Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communications.
- Strong organization skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
- Experience working within higher education, specifically Student Success
- Prior student advising experience
- Event planning and coordination experience, ideally within an educational environment
- Prior experience overseeing budgets and other fiscal responsibilities
- Experience with assessment, analyzing information and evaluating results
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, particularly in a team setting
- Ability to solve problems and act independently while coordinating events, projects, and initiatives
