Colony Park Animal Hospital is — Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Full Time | Rotating Saturdays
Pay Range: $24.00-$28.00/hr | Based on experience

Our AAHA-accredited hospital is currently seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician who enjoys patient care, teamwork, and creating a positive experience for both pets and clients.

Our multi-doctor small animal practice provides preventive care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and compassionate treatment in a collaborative environment where technicians are encouraged to fully utilize their skills.

What We’re Looking For

Active RVT credentials in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)
At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting
Strong technical abilities including:
- anesthesia monitoring
- venipuncture and catheter placement
- surgical assistance
- dental and digital radiography
Comfortable managing appointments, treatments, and hospitalized patients
Excellent communication and organizational skills
A dependable team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment and contributes positively to hospital culture

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans
Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery
Perform laboratory sample collection and processing
Capture diagnostic-quality radiographs, including dental imaging
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Educate pet owners on preventive care and post-treatment instructions
Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation
Support efficient patient flow and high-quality client service throughout the day
