Security and Data Management Assistant Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000-$117,000. Position Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Telework/Work-from-Home Authorized: Yes – When Authorized/Hybrid. About the Role The Security and Data Management Assistant will function as an administrator and data manager in the field of risk analysis to support AFRL and the Risk Identification and Security Countermeasure (RISC) mission. The RISC effort is a security‑focused cross‑functional capability that searches and consolidates information from multiple sources to identify potential risks associated with AFRL’s intellectual property, programs, and personnel, supporting science and technology managers and engineers while empowering AFRL leaders to make informed risk‑management decisions. Responsibilities Control and maintain the critical records produced during security reviews and provide administrative and technical support. Assist with the analysis and production of written and oral reports identifying risk and briefing to AFRL, USAF, and DoD entities. Sign non‑disclosure and attestation statements in accordance with current personnel security requirements. Provide administrative and technical support to the RISC organization through a wide range of functions utilizing professional and technical skills. Collate data and draw possible risk‑analyst conclusions based on current threats to technology and resources. Assist senior analysts in analyzing and evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organization’s functions and programs. Input and maintain data and records of security reviews, suspense actions through automated systems to ensure data is processed within the designated time frames and maintained in accordance with appropriate laws, regulations, and policies. Collect, verify, compute, consolidate, and review a variety of technical and statistical data to prepare reports and briefings. Identify and describe trends and/or problems, determine possible causes or explanations, make recommendations, and refer to higher‑level analysts for in‑depth study. Handle, store, and disseminate classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures. Assist with proposal development, if necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements Five (5) years of experience with the analysis and production of written and oral reports identifying risk and briefing to senior AFRL, USAF, and DoD entities. Education Requirements College degree preferred. Other Required Skills & Abilities Effective communication with customers and fulfillment of duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Security Clearance Requirements Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
