Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.We are looking for you to join our team as an Assembler 1 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities.What You'll Get to Do:Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.Work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Use hand and/or power tools, including soldering irons.Obtain/maintain workmanship certifications.Willing to work overtime.A successful candidate will possess great communication and interpersonal abilities, excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, learn quickly, work well independently and as part of a team.Basic Qualifications for an Assembler 1:High School diploma or GEDAbility to lift and move objects, up to 30lbs, from one location to another.Preferred Qualifications:Work experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, including wire harness.IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification.J-STD-001 Certification.Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
