Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, assessing their needs, stabilizing conditions, and initiating appropriate treatment plans. Supervises and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival to determine acuity and prioritize care.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following prescribed protocols.
• Monitor patient status, evaluate progress, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and timely care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from AHA or ARC are required.
• Previous experience in an acute care or emergency setting is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
