The Human Resources Generalist provides daily HR support to the facility in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This support includes but is not limited to recruiting hourly and salaried employees to meet plant staffing requirements, including compliance with affirmative action plan requirements and I-9's. This individual is also responsible for the new hire onboarding process, including orientation, training, benefits administration, and employee record keeping in the office. This position will be required to work a hybrid shift of 6:00am-3:00pm. Essential Functions:

- Recruit qualified candidates for all hourly and salaried positions to meet plant production requirements.
- Manage co-op student program to include on campus recruiting, onboarding and off boarding.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, develop and implement solutions as appropriate.
- Oversee disciplinary and termination activities in partnership with plant supervision
- Prioritize and coordinate a wide variety of tasks and activities of the Human Resource department which may include compensation reviews, performance evaluations and benefits administration.
- Manage the administration of FMLA including determining eligibility, notification, tracking and going through the second and third opinion process when applicable.
- Responsible for implementation of Affirmative Action plans, policies, practices and records.
- Manage company relationships with recruiting sources and Ohio Bureau of Employment Services consistent with organizational goals and ethical practices.
- Utilize best recruiting practices, reduce plant turnover and overall recruiting costs.
- Administers training records and tracks training progress as prescribed by the plant training program guidelines, and reports progress regularly to individual trainees, supervisors and other stakeholders.
- Coordinates and schedules training with plant training resources
- Accesses, inputs, and exports information from plant computer systems, and the learning management system (LMS).
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
- Required to work assigned schedule as determined by plant location. Incumbent must be able to work flexible hours to provide training to off shifts as needed.

- Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet; financial; and production planning and tracking applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve objectives.
- Proven experience in Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in a union environment
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field. MS or MBA degree is highly desirable.
- Prefer 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources or related role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading people and obtaining results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
