Education & Certification Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or a Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, or another relevant Behavioral Science with clinical experience as a program requirement. Certification required: LPC, LPC‑A, LCSW, LMSW, and/or LMSW‑AP. Experience Two (2) years of postgraduate direct clinical service delivery experience. Reservists are part of an elite, all‑hazards response cadre who are available to work intermittently, commit to working when needed, and travel/deploy within 24–48 hours. They play a key role in keeping National EMR ready to deploy the right people in the right jobs quickly in an emergency management situation. These situations could include hurricane responses, mass shootings, wildfire responses, and more. This is NOT a full‑time job. Reservists may be deployed to fulfill any role specifically related to the incident, and deployment roles will be based on reservists’ skills, performance, and experience. National EMR does not guarantee length or frequency of deployments. Reservists are paid for the actual number of hours worked. Pay scales are based on the job classification as determined by National EMR. Responsibilities and Duties Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual. Foster a culture that encourages team members to work safely, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns immediately to their direct chain of command. Maintain active status within the agency’s platforms, including learning management systems to complete training directed toward self‑improvement, mission‑specifics, or Just‑In‑Time (JIT) training. Conduct intake interviews and assess clients. Prepare goal‑oriented psychosocial diagnostic assessments, service plans and progress reports. Provide case consultations, one‑to‑one counseling for clients, and/or crisis intervention. Maintain therapeutic services within National EMR and funding source guidelines. Develop and implement client tracking and status reports for monthly review/audit of the clinical department. Provide data to support staff on admission/discharge of clients to maintain the permanent National EMR Census. Monitor and assist caseworkers and case aides in client supervision and milieu activities. Participate in or facilitate primary therapeutic/psycho‑educational groups or activities. Interview and complete preliminary service plan for each assigned client within 72 business hours. Participate in weekly scheduled case staffing with the treatment team to review clients' progress and compliance. Review client files to ensure proper documentation of therapeutic plan/services. Obtain and maintain working knowledge of State Licensing Standards and funding source guidelines. Attend and participate in twenty (20) hours of continuing education a year to maintain certifications dependent on current licensure. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Adhere to acceptable standards of professional integrity and accountability in the workplace, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations in all duties. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio‑economic characteristics. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, professionals, and clients. Maintain professional people skills and non‑verbal communication skills. Communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, in English. Work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining control and professional composure and making decisions based on the needs of the program and service population. Maintain intermediate‑to‑advanced computer literacy (specifically Microsoft Suite). Be detail oriented and organized. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Utilize a variety of communication systems to provide situational awareness across the response (cellular, two‑way radio, satellite, etc.). Perform physical activity such as extensive walking, stretching, bending, and occasionally lifting and/or exceeding 50lbs. Work extended hours and/or non‑traditional hours (e.g., weekends, evenings, holidays, in austere conditions). Submit proof of a valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing with no restrictions (subject to review annually). Must successfully pass a scheduled or spontaneous drug screening/background check.
