Millions of buildings across more than 170 countries have been transformed into immersive Matterport digital twins, supporting every stage of the building lifecycle including planning, construction, operations, documentation, appraisal, and marketing.We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, crafting and scaling cloud services while supporting our multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as Matterport, Debt Solutions, CoStar Suites, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com, and Ten-X.You will develop automation to deploy, run, and monitor services across multiple public clouds, and collaborate with software architects and application teams around the globe to ensure optimal software delivery, performance, and scalability.This position is located in Sunnyvale, CA and has the work schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 day work from home. What Qualities Are We Looking For?An individual with a sense of ownership and pride in his or her performance and its impact on the company’s success and can work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization.An individual who is passionate about automating and leveraging DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with an infrastructure-as-code mentality.An individual who lives and breathes continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using the latest DevOps tools and innovative methods.An individual with a proactive and go-getter attitude who works well in a team environment as an individual contributor.An individual who is comfortable in a development and operations role, with a strong development background and the drive to invent.An individual who has a thirst for learning new tools, platforms, and languages.An individual who communicates and collaborates well with teams in IT and business organizations within the company, including teams located in different locations around the world.A critical thinker with good problem solving and time management skills and an ability to multi-task.An individual with strong communication skills, who expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing.Provides help to management, including hiring, on-boarding, training and performance reviews.Motivates team members and assesses performance, keeps management updated on team performance.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or college.A track record of commitment to prior employers.5+ years of a healthy mix of development and DevOps experience with cloud service providers (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker containers, and Kubernetes, including experience managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focus.Solid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projects.Infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar platforms.Expert experience with open-source technologies (such as Linux, APT, and others) and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Saltstack).Expert container experience with Docker and Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms is a must.Advanced experience of CI/CD pipelines to a wide variety of virtual environments in public cloud providers.Strong ability to code your way out of problems using Python, Ruby, Go, PowerShell, or Bash.3 to 5 years managing monitoring, centralized logging, and reporting systems, building dashboards on application and server performance and scalability issues (examples: Datadog, SignalFX, New Relic, or other operations monitoring tools).Conceptual understanding of SQL and No SQL databases, with the ability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions based on performance, cost and technical fit.Experience with configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management.Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS.Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical application as it applies to improving workflows, observability and team efficiency.Good verbal and written communication skills and enjoys working in a global team.Nice to HavesExperience with enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics and RUM.Programming languages / some developer background with Java, C#, Python, or NodeJS.Serverless architecture methodologies.Familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation.Mobile application support (iOS, Android).Experience in REST API or Microservices development.Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles.What’s in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
