***Must have schedule flexibility and weekend and holiday availability.*** This role follows a Monday through Friday schedule with every-other-weekend coverage and holidays as needed. The Environmental Services Supervisor oversees medical center and ancillary areas, coordinating staffing, workflows, equipment, training, performance, and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop department staffing schedules and daily work assignments.
• Reevaluate staffing needs and adjust coverage for absences and changing client requirements.
• Conduct documented daily rounds throughout medical center and ancillary areas.
• Monitor staff performance, assigned workflows, hospitality needs, and timely task completion.
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, carts, storage areas, offices, and work rooms in a clean, orderly, and professional condition.
• Plan and coordinate project work, special requests, and required service frequencies.
• Distribute and collect data collection devices and review daily submissions for accuracy.
• Provide staff orientation, training, ongoing education, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Track attendance, tardiness, performance, competencies, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Respond promptly to customer, departmental, and staff concerns and coordinate corrective action.
• Ensure adequate hospitality equipment and resources are available for medical center needs.
• Promote a safe work environment and support compliance with infection prevention, safety, OSHA, CMS, CDPH, Joint Commission, and other applicable standards.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental services, transportation, or hospitality operations.
• Schedule flexibility, including weekend and holiday availability.
• Flu vaccination during flu season; no exemptions or declinations.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with staff scheduling and environmental services operations.
• Experience with performance management and documentation.
• Team leadership experience.
