Project Engineer

The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Project Engineer at its Picatinny Arsenal, NJ location to provide technical and administrative coordination activities in support of the government’s portfolio of demilitarization projects.

Primary Responsibilities.

Assist in drafting and organizing project plans, integrated schedules, and technical data sheets for demilitarization initiatives.

Support the coordination of project workflows and track the completion of technical action items assigned to various task groups.

Consolidate technical input from various stakeholders to assist government engineers in preparing briefing materials and project status packages.

Perform technical data entry, DEMIL stockpile analysis, and coordinate RDTE programs with organic depots.

Compile and format technical feedback, engineering drawings, and test data for government review.

Provide administrative and technical coordination support for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Joint Demilitarization Program Reviews, and safety working groups.

Prepare meeting agendas, track action items, distribute meeting minutes, and compile presentation slides as directed by government program leads.

Basic Qualifications.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial) or a related physical science discipline.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in project engineering, ammunition lifecycle logistics, or energetic material handling support.

Secret Security Clearance (or favorable eligibility determination).

US Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications.

Familiarity with demilitarization technologies and operations a plus.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
