Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for night shift coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, with preferred ICU and travel experience, and possess current licensure and certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients during night shifts.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and perform clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and reports.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State License as a Registered Nurse.
• Possess at least 3 years of current Med/Surg experience.
• Have ICU experience and previous travel nursing preferred.
• Maintain current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Med Surg skills as per skills checklist.
• Provide a supervisory reference from the past year of employment.
