X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and care throughout the process.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Primarily 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Available options for flexible scheduling: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 4x9s

Locations

Opportunities available in Sawgrass and Marketplace (Miracle Mile), within the region.

Responsibilities

• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before starting x-ray procedures.
• Utilize x-ray equipment to obtain radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as ordered by physicians.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have.
• Position patients appropriately, which may involve lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
• Operate all radiologic equipment safely and effectively, ensuring minimal radiation exposure to patients.
• Monitor each patient's status and tailor care to meet age-specific needs.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for review by the Radiologist.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment to management promptly.
• Use electronic patient information systems to verify patient details and adhere to the Dual Patient Identifier procedure.
• Maintain accurate patient records by properly identifying and ensuring the correct transmission of images to the PACS system.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State license (or the ability to obtain one prior to starting).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Experience in the operating room and familiarity with portable imaging equipment.
• Capability to maneuver or lift patients as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• A patient and compassionate demeanor.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to maintaining a cohesive work environment.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience using C-arm or O-arm within the last 8 months is preferred.
