With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Arcadis is currently searching for a Chemical or Environmental Engineer to join our Integrated Sustainability and Compliance (ISC) team in Novi, Michigan; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Houston, Texas; or Tampa, Florida. This will be a hybrid role, splitting time between an Arcadis office, remote work and visits to client sites. ISC is an area of our business that is growing rapidly and is a priority in our global strategy and an area of heightened focus and investment in our current strategy cycle. ISC services include Air Quality Permitting and Compliance, Environmental Due Diligence, Environmental Compliance and Assurance, Safety Compliance and Assurance, Digital EHS&S, Industrial Hygiene, Sustainability and Product Stewardship.In this role you will work with our air quality and EHS compliance teams to support key clients. You will support air quality and EHS projects such as air permitting, routine air permit compliance reporting, Tier II and Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting, emissions inventory development and reporting, spill response plan development, stormwater and wastewater permitting, waste management and other EHS compliance related projects.As a Consultant with Arcadis, you'll soon discover you can make a difference in our company by collaborating with staff and contributing to an interesting array of projects. While this position requires both field and office work, the candidate should expect to spend up to 20% of their time in the field or traveling.As part of our Resilience Environment team, you'll help improve quality of life. With your expertise in environmental engineering your work could involve a range of activities as directed and in accordance with relevant Health and Safety or other operational standards. A successful candidate will:Assist industrial, commercial and federal clients with air permitting, waste management, stormwater pollution prevention and permitting, spill preparedness and response, wastewater discharge permitting, and associated regulatory reports.Prepare emission calculations for regulated air pollutants and greenhouse gases.Support our due diligence team with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and report preparation.Provide field and office support of site investigations including soil, water, and vapor sample collection and site inspections.Work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously utilizing strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.In this role you must be willing to travel up to 10-20% for project and client needs which may include overnight trips. Most work can be performed from an Arcadis office location or remotely.Required Qualifications· Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.· Strong Microsoft Excel skillsPreferred Qualifications· Prior relevant internship experience· EIT certificationWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $54,648 - $91,080. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
