Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical ICU setting with a predominantly multi-system failure population, including common diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 28-bed ICU spanning two units
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Level 1 (Trauma/ICU) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience caring for patients with multi-system failure and complex co-morbid conditions
• Familiarity with MICU protocols and high-acuity critical care environments
