Robert Half is partnering with a leading metal fabrication and manufacturing organization in San Francisco that is seeking a Senior GL Accountant to support a critical accounting initiative. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities while partnering cross-functionally across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Manage general ledger accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, research variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with operations, procurement, and manufacturing teams to account for inventory, fixed assets, and production-related transactions.
• Support audits, process improvement initiatives, and special projects while strengthening internal controls and accounting procedures.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant general ledger and month-end close responsibilities.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems.
