Healthcare Operations Manager Location: Green Bay, WI Lead Operations. Strengthen Teams. Improve Patient Care. Unity is seeking an experienced Healthcare Operations Manager to lead labor management, workforce planning, frontline leadership development, and operational excellence across our nursing service lines. - Full-time, hybrid work environment
- Monday through Friday with a flexible first-shift schedule, typically between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Shared participation in the Administrator On-Call rotation
- 1-2 holidays per year
- Lead labor utilization and productivity initiatives across nursing service lines.
- Analyze workforce metrics including FTEs, visits per FTE, overtime, paid time off, and non-productive hours.
- Monitor labor budgets, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to the Nursing Operations Director.
- Partner with the Central Scheduling Manager to align staffing levels, float utilization, and skill mix with patient census and workload projections.
- Ensure payroll accuracy through timecard audits and exception reviews.
- Collaborate with Finance, Recruitment, and nursing leadership on workforce planning, staffing models, territory alignment, and FTE recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with labor standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop labor dashboards and performance reports that support informed operational decisions.
- Lead, coach, and develop Nurse and CNA Supervisors through regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.
- Promote consistent execution of policies, workflows, productivity standards, and accountability expectations.
- Partner with the Educational Services team during recruitment and interview processes.
- Conduct annual EMPOWER performance meetings with direct reports and support supervisors in completing their own team evaluations.
- Manage employee performance, coaching, and progressive discipline in partnership with Human Resources and the Nursing Operations Director.
- Participate in the Administrator On-Call rotation.
- Collaborate with Quality and Education leaders to maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Review operational, quality, and compliance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead corrective action planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. (Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
- Minimum three years of healthcare or business operations experience.
- Minimum three years of leadership experience, including coaching, project management, and operational execution.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, workforce planning, and labor management.
- Experience interpreting financial and operational data to drive decision-making.
- Knowledge of productivity metrics, labor analytics, and performance management systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence organizational outcomes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, automated scheduling systems, and Outlook.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
