P&C Data Analyst (BDX Focus)

About the job: We are seeking a P&C Data Analyst with strong experience in insurance data, particularly Bordereaux (BDX). This role will support data validation, analysis, and reporting efforts across carrier and broker datasets, ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability for business and regulatory needs.

What you will do at Sogeti:

• Analyze, validate, and reconcile P&C insurance data, with a primary focus on BDX files
• Perform BDX requirements gathering, mapping, and quality checks across multiple data sources
• Support development and maintenance of BDX ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes
• Identify data discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend solutions
• Work closely with business stakeholders to interpret insurance data and translate requirements into actionable insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation
• Assist in building scalable data workflows and pipelines (ad hoc or structured)
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including carriers and MGAs

What you will bring:

• 3+ years of experience working with P&C insurance data
• Strong understanding of insurance concepts (policies, premiums, claims, exposures, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Bordereaux (BDX) data, including structure, validation, and processing
• Experience working with or supporting insurance carriers, MGAs, or brokers
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and manipulation
• Strong data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and multiple formats

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
• Exposure to BDX development or automation processes
• Familiarity with data warehousing or cloud-based data environments
• Experience working in delegated authority or specialty insurance environments

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $90,000 - $135,000.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
