Business Development Manager

- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify and pursue new commercial electrical construction opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- General Contractors
- Developers
- Architects
- Engineers
- Property Owners
- Municipalities
- Government Agencies
- Facility Managers
- Attend networking events, trade shows, association meetings, and industry conferences.
- Monitor bidding opportunities and identify projects aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams during the preconstruction process.
- Assist with proposal development, presentations, and client interviews.
- Develop long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business.
- Research emerging markets and identify new opportunities for company growth.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipeline reporting, and forecasting.
- Represent Fortune Electrical Construction professionally within the community and industry.

- Minimum of 5 years of business development or sales experience within commercial construction or electrical contracting.
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical construction processes.
- Existing relationships within the commercial construction industry are preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area.
- Experience working for an electrical contractor.
- Knowledge of design-build, negotiated work, and competitive bid procurement.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Accubid, or similar industry platforms.
- Membership or involvement in industry organizations such as ABC, AGC, IFMA, BOMA, NAIOP, Chambers of Commerce, or local construction associations.
