Healthcare Credentialing Specialist

HiredFirst Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to manage the onboarding and credentialing process for nurses, therapists, allied health professionals, advanced practice providers, and locum tenens professionals nationwide. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary credentialing contact for healthcare professionals and the facility after placement confirmation. Maintain ongoing communication with caregivers and the facility throughout the onboarding process. Act as the liaison between the caregiver, facility, recruiter, account manager, and MSP/VMS representative. Review assignment requirements and create credentialing checklists. Collect, verify, track, and upload required credentials into MSP/VMS platforms and client portals. Ensure all credentialing requirements are completed prior to start dates. Manage background checks, drug screens, license verifications, OIG, SAM, and Nursys screenings. Coordinate and verify healthcare compliance requirements, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing, physicals, certifications, and other client-specific requirements. Communicate directly with facilities, MSP/VMS contacts, occupational health clinics, laboratories, and vendors as needed. Assist candidates in obtaining required testing and documentation. Help resolve credentialing challenges and onboarding delays. Preferred Experience StafferLink Nexus Adaptive/Vector Other MSP/VMS platforms Direct client credentialing Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards Advanced Practice Credentialing CAQH NPDB Qualifications Minimum 2 years of healthcare staffing credentialing experience. Experienced credentialing nurses, therapists, allied health professionals, advanced practice and locums. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously. Self-motivated, resourceful, and team-oriented. Additional Responsibilities During periods of lower credentialing volume, this position may assist with administrative and operational support projects for the CEO, President, recruiting team, and back-office operations.
