Electronics Mechanic

As an Electronics Mechanic, WG-2604-11, you will:

  • Repair or replace chassis mounted components.
  • Isolate and diagnose cause of circuit/component malfunction.
  • Conduct inspection, diagnose nature and extent of equipment malfunction.
  • Perform initial and final checks and may perform inspections when required on equipment being repaired.
  • Conduct on-the-job training on assigned systems and related support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, install, maintain, overhaul, repair, and modify complete operational systems consisting of numerous complex integral components.
  • Adjust and align sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuators, servos, computers and other related components.
  • Complete operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of line replaceable unit (LRU).
  • Use a variety of test equipment such as automated test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, combined Boresight Harmonization Kits, and special purpose bench test sets.
  • Conduct debriefing of aircrews to determine the nature of system malfunctions then documents all maintenance performed and records information related to the system, LRU's, or shop repairable units on both aircraft and historical records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
