Job Summary:
The Radiology/Cardiology X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, in a hospital setting with a focus on operating room support. This role requires expertise in positioning patients and operating imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technician will float between units as needed, ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered efficiently and safely during scheduled weekday shifts.

This role requires expertise in positioning patients and operating imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technician will float between units as needed, ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered efficiently and safely during scheduled weekday shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures following established protocols.
- Position patients accurately to obtain clear and precise images.
- Operate radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians and nurses, to support patient care in the operating room and other hospital units.
- Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper function and safety standards.
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control policies.
- Document imaging procedures and patient information accurately.
- Current and valid Washington state X-Ray Technician license or equivalent experience.
- Operating Room experience is mandatory.
- Experience working in a large hospital environment.
- Ability to work independently and float between units as needed.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures and safety protocols.
- Experience with cardiology imaging procedures.
- Additional certification in radiologic specialties.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical record systems.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- No weekend work required.
- Must work within a 1:1 patient ratio.
- Must be comfortable working in fast-paced operating room and hospital settings.
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- 8-hour shifts.
- Block schedules are required.
