About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active NC or Compact license in hand Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 2:1 - Experience with Epic charting system preferred - Knowledge of trauma level I and II preferred - Travel experience preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a relevant nursing role. The position requires a valid NC or Compact nursing license. Candidates must hold current BLS and PALS certifications. Responsibilities include: - Delivering high-quality patient-centered care for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients. - Managing complex congenital heart diseases and post-cardiac surgeries. - Performing procedures including ECMO management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring. - Administering medications, including chemotherapeutics and IV vasopressors. - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. - Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment following infection control protocols. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and float as necessary. Attendance and punctuality are essential to ensure team effectiveness and patient safety. All candidates will be expected to meet compliance and documentation requirements.
