This small hospital provides comprehensive gastroenterology services with established protocols for inpatient, outpatient, and procedural care. The facility maintains full nursing support and two APPs to assist with high patient volumes and procedural requirements. The hospital operates with modern equipment to support the annual scope volume of approximately 2,200 procedures.

This area offers outdoor recreational opportunities with notable hiking destinations including Humpback Rocks, Crabtree Falls, and Natural Bridge for nature enthusiasts. The region features shopping and cultural attractions such as Tysons Corner Center, Mount Vernon, and George Mason University. Various seasonal events take place throughout the year, including summer concert series and community activities at locations like Cape Charles Town beach.

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient, clinic, and OR gastroenterology services Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM. The clinician will manage daily pager call from 8AM-4PM plus 10 days per month of 24/7 call including one weekend. Procedure responsibilities include morning sessions 8AM-12PM Monday-Friday plus Wednesday afternoon 12PM-4PM with approximately 11-15 cases daily. Clinic sessions occur four afternoons per week managing approximately 8 patients daily with annual scope volume reaching 2,200 procedures. The position requires managing 2-4 new inpatient consults daily with potential follow-up requirements.
