About the Position

Minimum 2 years of experience 2. Experience with ventilated patients 3. Central line care and management skills 4. Ability to manage dysrhythmias 5. Experience with post-operative complications Description: The ICU nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. General diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT. The nurse will work in an environment with a patient ratio of 1:2-3. Travelers should be prepared for the possibility of taking a 3rd patient. The unit consists of 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19. There will be floating within the facility as necessary. The nurse will be expected to work weekends, with every other weekend off unless specified otherwise. If a major holiday falls during the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it. All compliance requirements must be met to start on time. The clinical fit will be determined through a review process. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No requests for time off can be entertained during orientation week. Complete onboarding requirements must be finalized prior to the start date.
