You’ll work full-time in a Transitional Learning Classroom, supporting elementary students in a self-contained setting. Your classroom will focus on helping young learners with behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges feel empowered and successful. From now through late May 2027, your expertise will be instrumental in fostering growth and independence in students who need individualized support.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Previous experience in elementary-level special education (preferred)
  • Passion for supporting students with behavioral, emotional, and learning needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in new environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students in a self-contained, transitional learning classroom
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
  • Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and support professionals
  • Document progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders
