Senior Mechanical Engineer PE – Healthcare Projects – Hybrid Salary: $130,000 – $155,000 per year (Total Compensation $140,000 – $165,000). A well‑established engineering consulting firm seeks a mid‑to‑senior level Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in commercial and healthcare projects. The ideal candidate will lead mechanical design efforts, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver high‑quality solutions for complex building systems. The role involves direct client contact and collaboration with architectural and structural disciplines. Responsibilities Develop HVAC designs from concept through construction completion. Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines. Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts. Produce detailed engineering reports and narratives. Maintain direct client relationships and assist in RFP and interview processes. Engage in community and industry‑specific organizations. Support business development initiatives. Qualifications PE license preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university. 8 to 10+ years of experience designing HVAC systems for complex projects. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Demonstrated experience in commercial and healthcare projects. Ability to produce detailed engineering calculations and system layouts. Strong coordination skills with architectural and structural teams. Experience in client interaction, RFP assistance, and documentation policies. Active engagement in community or industry organizations. Desired but Not Required Experience and interest in sustainable building design. LEED AP or LEED GA certification.
