Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is available at an intermediate unit campus, focusing on providing support to students with autism in a collaborative, onsite setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in special education and be enthusiastic about fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education Educator Certificate (required)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably in a school or therapeutic environment
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
• Commitment to creating a positive and productive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students in the Autistic Support Program
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Assess, track, and communicate student progress toward academic and social-emotional goals
• Utilize evidence-based teaching methods and behavioral strategies
• Engage actively in IEP meetings and regular professional development
• Uphold compliance with all state and federal guidelines for special education

Additional Details:

• Contract spans from August 10th, 2026 through May 28th, 2027 (dates subject to change)
• Onsite role in a dynamic educational community
• Caseload and hours to be determined
