HVAC Service Technician

Job Overview The Service Technician will work independently or as part of a team responsible for the installation, startup, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of commercial HVACR equipment, systems and units. Job Duties Analyze work orders, plan daily travel schedule, investigate complaints, conduct tests, resolve problems. Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering and assembling components, completing installation, performing acceptance tests. Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, recommending system improvements. Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records. Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications. Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Qualifications Experience in a service vehicle, performing service work for an HVAC contractor and ability to work with a team. VRF experience is preferred. BAS/DDC Controls experience is desired. Own tools. Reliable and excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Willingness to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. This is not an entry level position. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
