Your Role The Madison 1st shift Scientist, Quality Associate position is responsible for cGMP analytical laboratory analysis in the Quality Control department of MilliporeSigma. Analysis may include incoming raw material analysis, in-process testing, final product analysis, method validation/qualification, cleaning, reference standard requalification, and environmental monitoring to support Quality Control activities at the Madison and Verona sites. Techniques include HPLC, GC, KF, DSC, TGA, IR, MS, NMR, and XRPD, among others. Other responsibilities include initiation and review of deviations, OOS/OOTs, change controls, and CAPAs; participation in process improvement initiatives; working in a team environment; maintaining a clean and safe work area; and supporting the department in keeping the laboratory in an audit‑ready state. The Scientist, Quality Associate is also expected to contribute to overall success by assisting in many areas beyond specific job duties. Physical Attributes Work in an analytical testing lab with hazardous and toxic chemicals. Who You Are We’re looking for individuals who meet the following qualifications. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another Life Science discipline. 1 year in a GLP or cGMP analytical laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing or testing laboratory. Understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, 210, 211, and ICH Q7. Experience with chemical analyses including HPLC, GC, KF, IR, MS, and NMR. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good documentation practices and attention to detail. Knowledge and understanding of analytical chemistry techniques. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $27.00–$46.00 per hour. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors.
