Roles & Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
Document patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
Collaborate with the therapy team to maximize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia (or compact eligible)
Graduate of an accredited PTA program
CPR certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience preferred

Education

Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of rehabilitative techniques and therapeutic modalities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records
