The MaineHealth EMS base in Scarborough, ME primarily responds to 911 calls, with about 80% of their calls being 911, and the other 20% being interfacility transport.

The Paramedic role provides both basic and advanced life support during emergency pre-hospital and interfacility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with state and local protocols. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Education: Completion of Paramedic Course required.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Paramedic required. Valid Driver's License required. Current BLS and PIFT Certification required. AVOC (Ambulance Vehicle Operators Course) required within six months of start date. Locations in New Hampshire require a NH Paramedic License with a National Registry Paramedic License.
• Experience: One year of relevant experience preferred.
