Production Operator

Job Summary Stryten Energy is hiring Production Operators in Salina, Kansas, at one of the largest lead‑acid battery manufacturing sites in North America. The role involves working safely and efficiently on the production line, with opportunities to learn other positions. Shift Schedule A Shift: Day – Sun to Tue, every other Wed B Shift: Night – Sun to Tue, every other Wed C Shift: Day – Thu to Sat, every other Wed D Shift: Night – Thu to Sat, every other Wed Pay Starting pay rate: $23.96 per hour. Additional bonus opportunities include: Quarterly Attendance Bonus – up to $600 each quarter Gainshare Bonus – up to 10% of gross monthly pay (~$300/month) Production Bonus – up to $11.50 per hour in addition to base pay Benefits Medical, prescription, dental, and vision plans Short‑term and long‑term disability and employee life insurance 401(k) plan with company match Paid Time Off Paid holidays Stryten pays the majority of your benefit contribution costs Responsibilities Repeatably lift and handle battery parts, envelope materials, elements and batteries weighing up to 50 pounds Continuously load plates into feed magazines and hand stack positive and negative plates Perform first‑piece set‑up, weld breaks, and weld analysis Process 1,000–2,400 batteries per 10‑hour shift Work with a team in an area containing electrical machinery, torches, lead melting pots, conveyors, computers, and ventilation equipment Learn and follow quality control specifications, maintain accurate SPC charts, 002 forms, and other material control documents Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5S requirements Comply with safety, health, and quality system regulations, including use of PPE Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the management team Physical Requirements Frequent lifting from grams up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, pulling Continuous standing and walking for a 10‑hour shift Ability to wear PPE such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and metatarsal guard shoes May be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid) Work from 10 to 60 inches above the floor and reach 24 inches side to side Equipment Used Small hand tools, powered equipment, control panels, hoists, torches, platen carts, safety equipment Personal Protective Equipment as required Education, Experience, Skills Mechanical aptitude preferred Previous manufacturing or related experience preferred High school diploma or GED preferred EEO Statement Stryten Energy is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other basis prohibited by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Stryten Energy
