The Chief Academic Officer is a strategic leader responsible for driving academic excellence across the district. This position oversees curriculum and instruction, assessment, professional learning, and all educational services. The CAO possesses a deep understanding of instructional practices and a passion for student learning and growth. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with district and school-level leaders to create a positive and supportive work environment that empowers educators to implement innovative strategies and improve student outcomes while also ensuring a guaranteed and viable curriculum. By focusing on data-driven decision-making and a personalized learning approach, the Chief Academic Officer ensures that all students have the opportunity to thrive in Arlington ISD.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

- Master's Degree from an accredited institution
- Administrator's Certificate issued by the Texas Education Agency
- Doctorate Degree preferred

Minimum Experience:

- Five years of progressive, responsible, successful experience at campus and/or central administration level
required; preferably experience at multiple levels - elementary school, junior high/middle school and high school.

Salary Range:

183,436 - 248,176
