This person will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. Modeling & Simulation Engineer tasks include:• Design Develop and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture• Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile/rocket/interceptor/UAS 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements• Leverage GNC principles to design digital representations of prototype systems for performance evaluations and trade studies• Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers Why Join UsWe are committed to supporting your work-life balance and overall well-being, offering flexible scheduling options Learn more about Lockheed Martin’s comprehensive benefits package here.Further Information About This Opportunity:This position is in Orlando. Discover more about our Orlando, Florida location.Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.Basic Qualifications• Post Secondary STEM degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.• Must be a US Citizen as an Interim Clearance is required to start. • Candidate must have fundamental proficiency in C++ • Proficient in either MATLAB or Python• Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:o Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithmso Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulationso Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformationsDesired SkillsDesired skills :• Proficiency with Python and Linux• Experience with Agile development• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git• Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills**Active Secret ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
