The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the accurate and timely receipt, storage, packaging, and shipment of transmission cores, remanufactured transmissions, components, and related materials. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains compliance with quality and safety standards, and coordinates logistics to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.

Job Duties

• Receive incoming transmissions, cores, parts and materials while verifying quantities and condition.

• Load and unload shipments safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment

• Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies

• Tag, label, and route cores to appropriate departments (drain, wash, tear down)

• Prepare remanufactured transmissions for shipment, using proper packaging methods to prevent damage during transit.

• Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices are followed where applicable.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and update system as required

• Coordinate outbound shipments with production and logistics teams to meet shipping schedules.

• Organize warehouse storage areas to ensure efficient material flow and proper identification of cores, finished products, and inventory.

• Assist production personnel by delivering materials and components as needed.

• Follow OSHA safety regulations and PPE requirements

• Inventory control and organization

• Additional duties as assigned by management to support operations

Minimum Education Required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred

• Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification

• Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read shipping documents, purchase orders, and packing lists

• Experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or transmission remanufacturing is highly desirable.

Minimum Experience Required

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving in warehouse manufacturing setting a plus.

• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 - 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
