Job Title

Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Full-Time Weekender Nights

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Key Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates all levels of patient care across the age continuum from pediatric to geriatric, performing age-appropriate assessments to ensure safe and effective care.
• Performs triage utilizing the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process .
• Documents patient care using medical terminology, maintaining an ED record that is medically and legally acceptable and reflective of all nursing care provided.
• Coordinates care for multiple patients simultaneously, prioritizing needs to ensure timely, quality care and optimal patient flow.
• Monitors life support and automated technical equipment; performs routine and complex treatments including medication administration, emergency resuscitation protocols, and IV fluid and blood product administration.
• Responds to crisis situations in a calm, efficient manner; collaborates with providers, peers, and ancillary departments to advocate for patient needs and deliver optimum care.

Required Qualifications

• Two-year degree in nursing required.
• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or active Compact Licensure required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
• ATCN certification preferred.
• Experience providing educational support for pre-hospital emergency providers or nursing students.
