Quality InspectorLocation: Stuart, FLStatus: Hourly non-exemptJob SummaryEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerforms assessment on various gas turbine components received for inspection by following written procedures, documents (blueprints, drawings, and specifications), and established practicesPerforms visual inspections as requiredPerforms First Article Inspection Report inspections and maintains documentationInterfaces with engineering and order execution regarding recommendations for work instruction and router improvementsGenerates NCRs in QSI systemReviews job paperwork through entire inspection process to ensure completeness and conformityUtilizes precision measuring equipment as required for incoming assessmentOperates small cranes to move equipment, parts, and materialMaintains a clean and orderly work areaFollowing Environmental Health and Safety regulations while working in fast-paced environmentPerforming waste handling in accordance to EHS procedures & legal requirements, such as:Segregating waste generatedPlacing hazardous and non-hazardous waste in appropriate containersMaintaining waste containers closed and in good conditionLabeling waste containers with appropriate hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste labelsMarking the start accumulation date to hazardous waste label once the container in the satellite accumulation area becomes full.Arranging internal waste transfer to central accumulation areaContain and clean up area incidental spillsOther duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsEducation & TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentComplete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix, which includes:Initial and annual Hazardous Waste Management training.Skills/Experience2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environmentExperience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructionsBasic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and time keeping applicationsMust be detail orientatedPhysical RequirementsStooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeWalking. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.The worker is subject to hazards.
