Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 5x8 hours from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Some weekends required, approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month.

Job Description

The Pediatric Inpatient/Outpatient Physical Therapist will provide therapeutic services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires a strong background in pediatric care and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and develop treatment plans.
• Carry out therapy interventions to promote recovery and improve mobility.
• Coordinate and communicate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment processes and outcomes.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience is required.
• Current AK Physical Therapy license or pending license in hand.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with pediatric conditions and interventions, including but not limited to cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and spina bifida.
