UA - Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offers associate degree and certificate programs for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and/or for career preparation and advancement.Department: Practical NursingSummary of Job Duties:• Participate in the interview process for the Director of the LPN program and LPN faculty• Review all program documents for the Technical Certificate LPN and if needed, make recommendations for improvement• Review past Arkansas Board of Nursing accreditation reports and documents; make recommendations for improvement; assist Dean Johnson and nursing faculty with the Summer 2024 accreditation report and site visit• Review physical facilities and classrooms associated with the LPN program and if needed, make recommendations for improvement• Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty (with Dean Johnson's assistance) to write ACEN eligibility, candidacy, and accreditation self-study report• Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty through ACEN site visit in Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 (not sure when just yet)• Mentor nursing faculty to shift from clinicians to academicians• Meet regularly (virtual) with nursing faculty about classroom management, pedagogy, and student learning assessment and occasionally conduct classroom observations of teaching; if needed, make recommendations for improvement• Meet regularly with Dean Johnson to review program progress (recruitment, retention, pass rates, employment) and if needed, make recommendations for improvement• Miscellaneous items as needed to expand, accredit, and sustain LPN program excellenceQualifications:Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing5 or more years' experience in experience in undergraduate nursing education programs5 or more years' experience in experience in the nursing field.Additional Information:Salary Information: Commensurate with education and experienceRequired Documents to Apply: ResumeOptional Documents:Recruitment Contact Information: LaTosha Moore-Harris HR Specialist View email address on click.appcast.io application materials must be uploaded to the University of Arkansas System Career Site do not send to listed recruitment contact.Pre-employment Screening Requirements: Criminal Background Check, Motor Vehicle Reports Check, Sex Offender RegistryUniversity of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College is committed to providing a safe campus community.
