Description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and 2+ years of busy-facility experience for an outpatient radiation oncology center.
Details
- Outpatient radiation oncology center setting
- Adult outpatient population receiving treatments such as external beam therapy, IMRT, SRS, and prostate seed/fiducial implants
- Day shift with flex scheduling between 6:00 AM and 8:30 PM, 5x8-hour shifts
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- May float to a sister facility located approximately 11.7 miles away
- Uses TrueBeam treatment units and Varian ARIA/Vision record & verify systems
Requirements
- ARRT(T) certification required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy radiation oncology workflow
- TrueBeam experience required
- Experience with CT simulation, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and treatment site simulation preferred
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced treatment schedule
Additional Information
- Provide radiation therapy treatments for conditions including various cancers, benign brain tumors, keloids, and heterotopic bone
- Responsible for beam modifying/positioning, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Grey or steel scrub color required
- First-time travelers accepted if they meet required experience
- Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with certain blackout periods excluded
- No blocked scheduling requests permitted
- Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
- Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates must disclose this for eligibility review
- Accepts local candidates within 75 miles of the facility at a local rate
