Cardiac Surgeon Opportunity

Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA is seeking a Cardiac Surgeon to join our expanding program as part of the Penn State Health Heart and Vascular service line. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collegial and well-supported team providing state-of-the-art cardiac care across central Pennsylvania.

The Position:

• 100% Cardiac Surgery – practice exclusively cardiac cases at one site (St. Joseph Medical Center)
• Annual volumes include approximately 120 open cases plus 40 TAVR procedures
• Collaborative environment working alongside experienced cardiologists and vascular surgeons
• Opportunities for academic appointment at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
• Access to clinical research and teaching, if desired
• Ability to engage in practice at other Penn State Health locations within the system as opportunities arise

Requirements:

• M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
• Completion of an accredited residency program
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
• ABTS board-certified/board-eligible or foreign equivalent
